AWARD Organization is a Non-profit making, Non Government Voluntary Organization, working in the development sector in Andhra Pradesh, India. The organization was established in the year 2005. The AWARD is committed for protection, progression of Environment and Natural Resources and to promote livelihoods through integrated activities, there by securing the empowerment of the target persons. The agricultural development first and primary that is the key to eradicate poverty, ensure food security, generate demand for industrial goods and promote overall development. We believe that true development in India is impossible without significant progress in its rural farming communities. A strong agricultural sector with healthy farming villages and accessible education throughout the country will be the back-bone of India's strength tomorrow. Activities Carried Out By Organisation

» Created awareness on Financial literacy to the 1,20,000 above people by organising the awareness Kalajatha programmes at 1885 villages of Prakasam, Guntur, East Godavari and West Godavari districts with the support of RBI, NABARD, Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank and GDCCB .

» Created awareness on Financial literacy to the 62,500 plus school children by organising the awareness Kalajatha programmes at 285 schools of Guntur, East Godavari and West Godavari districts RBI, NABARD, Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank and GDCCB .

» Promoted 7 farmers clubs at Guntur district and conducted trainings on ZBNF, Preparation of Vermicompost. 85 farmers are practising the ZBNF methods now.

» Completed 10 number of skill based trainings to rural youth and matured SHG women at 10 villages of Narsaraopet, Chilakaluripet, Nakarikal and Ipur mandals. 300 members are trained and 198 members are setup the units. Bank linkages provided for 186 members.



Aims And Objectives

» Organizing entrepreneurship training programmes.

» To educate the youth and women, through literacy awareness programs, cultural activities, inter village sports and to organize them into society for the purpose of undertaking development action.

» To undertake activities and developmental schemes of Government and Quasi Government and Local Government Bodies for the overall development of poor

» To take up Thrift and Credit Programs for the rural women to create a habit of savings from their earnings.

» To promote self-help economic development projects including agricultural and irrigation projects for improving food production and to help small and marginal formers, rural artisans and A.G.Labourers by providing them integrated services and facilities for increasing employment.



Experience of chief functionary

Having 24 years of professional experience in the area of Social Development field in Watershed management, Education, Women & child development, Awareness programs, Trainings on different programmes includes Analysis, Design and Implementation of Action Plans. Having good experience in design and implementation of projects, social mobilization, reporting and documentation, promotion of farmers clubs, JLG groups and FPOs and groups at village level, experience in preparation of FSR and PCRs related watersheds. Maintained professional kalajatha team and organise programs for various departments. Having good network and collaborations with local government Departments such as NABARD, banking sector, Educational, Health, water and sanitation Department. Taken up dropout survey along local government officials and joined the children in schools. Doing awareness campaigns on Financial literacy campaigns with support of CGGB (Rural bank). Organising special camps at schools and colleges for students’ personality development, life skills, Sanitation & personal hygiene, child rights and child labour.
