Tribal Development fund project

NABARD

Tribal development fund project is being sanctioned by NABARD to AWARD NGO in 2022-23. The project period is 6 years and the project location was Nakarikallu and Rajupalem mandals. 478 tribal families in 9 villages will be benefitted through the projectin above said 2 mandals. The project comprehensive development project of the Orchids development with fruit plants and livelihood promotion.

Promotion of FPOs

NABARD

4 FPOs promoted by AWARD with the financial support by NABARD. 1 FPO is in Guntur district, 2 FPOs are in Palnadu district and 1 FPO is in Nellore district. Mobilization of the farmers, Capacity building of the FPO members, Registration and Obtaining of the all legalities, has been completed. The FPOs project is going on.

Implementation of ZBNF project

NABARD

ZBNF project is implementing in Narsaropet and Nakarikallu mandal of Palnadu district. Working with 100 farmers at 4 villages and the farmers are cultivating ZBNF in 100 acres. The project location is Pamidimarru, Guravayapalem, Gonepudi of Narasaraopet mandal and Kandlakunta village of Nakarikallu mandal in Palnadu district. The main objectives of the project are stated below.

1. 100 chemical farming farmers to take up ZBNF mode of cultivation.

2. Reduce the expenditure of cultivating per acre and enhance the income levels in a sustainable way.

3. Bring 100 acres of chemical farming land in to natural farming mode.

4. Inculcate the habit of interdcropping and multilayer cropping.

MEDP trainings

9 MEDP trainings are conducted on Saree painting, Vermicompost preparation, Basic tailoring ( 2 number), Jute bags making, Millet food products preparation, Cow dung based products, Aari embroidery and Mushroom cultivation.The trainings are conducted for 270 SHG women. Out of 270 trained women, 242 members are doing the activity.

LEDP trainings

Implemented 4 LEDPs on advanced tailoring,Banana fiber extraction, plates and cups making with Arecanut palm and Maggam work. Training, credit linkages and establishment of the units are completed for trainings. 85% members are settled and established the units.

Skill development programs

NABARD

Implemented 3 SDPs on Motor rewinding &Bore well mechanism, AC& FRIZ repair and Pottery for 90 members. Training completed for 3 SDPs. 74 members are taken up the activity.

Turmeric farmers survey for study

NABARD

The survey has been completed and submitted to BIRD, Lucknow. We have conducted the survey and collected the details from farmers, commission agents, traders, millers, pesticide shops with covering socio economic, Farm practices of theturmeric farmers, quality parameters, market linkages, processing, yield, economics, gaps and value addition.

Water campaign

We have conducted water campaign in 60 villages of Nakarikallu, Rompicherla, Narsaraopet, Pedanandipadu and Prattipadu mandals. 6800 villagers are sensitized by the water campaign. Village level natural requirements of NRM works planned in 60 villages and submitted to NABARD.

Customized financial literacy campaigns

7 programs were completed successfully for 730 rural people at seven mandals with the support of NABARD.

Socio economic survey, Installation of RO plant & training programme for Tobacco farming families in ITC project operational areas

ITC

AWARD organization has worked with ITC for a project with covering 3 activities.

1. socio economic survey with tobacco farmers in ITC operational areas of Prakasam and Nellore districts. The purpose of the survey is to collect the data from the tobacco farmers, analysis of the socio-economic status for future welfare activities by the ITC.

2. Provision of clean drinking water facility to the farmers. AWARD organization has been provided a RO water plant at Vellupalli Village of Giddalur Mandal, Prakasam district with the financial support of ITC.

3. Conducted a one workshop to 100 farmers with involving the knowledge partners, subject experts, Government officials, KVK officials, university professors on the following topics with the support of ITC.

Preparation of the Feasibility Study Reports (FSR) for NABARD/ITC watersheds

MYRADA

Preparation of the Feasibility Study Reports (FSR) for NABARD/ITC watersheds for 5 watershed projects at Guntur district successfully. Area and drainage treatment activities, Natural and organic farming activities, Climate change activities and livelihood activities has been incorporated in the FSR as per guidelines of the NABARD.

Financial literacy awareness campaigns

Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank, Guntur, Guntur District Central Cooperative Bank, Nellore District Central Cooperative Bank, Prakasam District Cooperative Central Bank , Union Bank of India, Saptagiri Grameena Bank, Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank.

Every year awarded by the CGGB, Guntur, DCCB, Guntur, UBI, RBI, Saptagiri Grameena Bank, APGB, DCCB of Prakasam and Nellore banks from 2015-16 to 2021-2022. More than 15000 FLAPCs conducted by AWARD during the last 7 years in entire Andhra Pradesh and some of the areas of Telangana. Very few programmes are being conducted by the support of RBI.

Natural farming and organic farming

Working with the farmers for organic cultivation for the last 2 years at 10 villages of Prakasam . We worked with 56 farmers at 10 villages of Guntur and Prakasam districts and extended technical support to them. Conducted,Trainigs, Kalajathaprogrammes and awrenessprogrammes on Natural farming and Organic farming. Total cost of the programme is 2,76,500/- for 2 years.

Promotion of JLG groups

DCCB, Guntur

We are promoting the JLG groups at Narsaraopet mandal. And also we are doing the organic cultivation on Vegetables and horticulture crops with them with local funding.

Free medical camp

Aadhar housing finance limited

A Free medical camp has been conducted at Amarareddynagar, Tadikonda municipality, Mangalagiri area to poor communities living in urban slums. We have examined 209 members in the camp and provided free medicines to them.
